Five Question Friday

Uffda, it's been a while since I joined Mama M.'s blog hop!  But, it's Christmas time and the questions are always so good this time of year!  Let's see what she's up to...

1. What is your favorite Christmas decoration in your house?

The tree.  It is the largest decoration in the house and it holds the most precious of memories within it's ornaments.  The tree itself is even precious as it was given to us by one of my best friends.  Love, love, love my fake tree, lit up in the corner, while I sit and enjoy a cup of cocoa.  O' Christmas Tree...I love thee.

2. Do you finish your Christmas shopping early or are you a last minute type?
I'm a all year kind of shopper.  Picking up gifts as I go.  We only buy for the kids of the family, so it's fairly easy.  The little ones never seem to change their minds and the big ones get gift cards.  We keep it simple.  It's not about the gifts, (except I am a giver, so it kind of is for me) it's about family and friends and the time spent together.

My favorite holiday get together is with friends.  We do a white elephant gift exchange and it is way more fun then another gift card.

3. When do you turn on your heat?
I wait as long as I can.  Mostly because I am frugal.  We woke up one morning and it was 61 degrees.  Yep, we turned on the heat.  I think that was in late Oct.  Then we turned it off for about a week and now it is set for the winter at 66 (unless my husband sneaks it up a couple degrees).  Blankets were made for a reason and I love to snuggle.

4. Do you ever wish your blog was private?
Honestly, yes.
When I read a negative comment on another blog and realize how critical and mean people are, I'd rather them not stop here.  People can find the good and the bad in every situation, blog post, words said, words written, and everywhere in between.  I try to stay positive and it's hard when there is so much negative.

5. Do you put your deodorant on before of after you put on your shirt?
Before.  I don't like nasty white deoderant lines on my shirts.  Thank you very much.

Comments

I wait as long as I can to turn my heat on. But my husband wants to turn it on early because he is always cold.
