State Fair Day 2

Labor Day was Aaron's final day to work the fair.  His parents graciously gave us an extra ticket they had, so the kids and I headed out to the fair grounds too.  The weather ended up being not so nice, so Aaron ended up with day off and we enjoyed a much needed 2nd family day at the Great MN Get Together!!!!

Jonathan hunted down Count Chocula while I hunted down Cub coupons.

(I got coupons for 3 FREE 24 packs of Cub water bottles!)

Allie pulled her own ride.

It started raining, so we took in a horse show.

This is something we have never done, so fun!

We didn't have any deep fried pickles (my favorite food at the fair) on this day as we were enjoying a day of things we hadn't done before!  Which made for a very inexpensive day, no rides, no cookies, no cheese curds, and no deep fried pickles.

We did lounge in the wagon and

visit the sports building, which both kids loved.

Jonathan shot a puck,

tried his hand at Lacrosse,

and shot some hoops.

I got my hearing tested.  I'd never done that at the Dr. or the fair.

Spin Art!

We'd never had the opportunity to do Spin Art before and Aaron was able to get the kids each a FREE one!  That's how they roll at the fair.  Workers trade food, root beer, and ever Spin Art!  We got FREE mini donuts, root beer, popcorn, carmel corn, and carmel apples!
