The Journey of Us...Part IV
The wedding lead us to our Honeymoon. I digress, our wedding lead us to our wedding night. ;) We left the reception and headed to town to the Hotel. Not before we pulled over to get the KY Jelly or whatever it was off the windshield of the car. After all, it's always nice to see the road. Once at the Hotel, it was nothing romantic from what I remember. We um, ya know, and went to sleep. Quite funny really, we woke up at 3am wide awake (we used to fall asleep with each other and one of us would wake around 3am and go home). So, the habit remained, only niether of us had to go home. Finally at about 7am, I called my mom to see what they were doing for breakfast. That's right, we joined our entire family at Scandia Cafe for a romantic breakfast. You know, the one where everyone looks at you with the {I know what you did last night} look. After breakfast, we headed back to my parents and opened gifts. I should note, my late Uncle Gary gave us boxes and boxes, and bags and bags of toilet paper for a gift. We didn't need to buy TP for months. It was an inside joke as we told him he could be in charge of the bathrooms at our wedding. He wanted so badly to sing, "Holy, Holy, Holy." Looking back, I kind of wished we had let him sing.
THE HONEYMOON
So, from there we hit the road to Wisconsin Dells. We had a BLAST!
THE HONEYMOON
So, from there we hit the road to Wisconsin Dells. We had a BLAST!
We took this cheesy picture in a "love" booth. We had these cheesy shirts made, cause that's how we roll. The front said "Just Married" with the date and the back said, "Bride" on mine and "Groom" on his. We scored free rides for these cheesy shirts at the amusement park. Yep, we rocked it. We took lots of cheesy pictures too.
Aaron got a tatoo as well. It's on the back of his neck and says, "Jesus and the date he got saved." It was my wedding gift to him. Oh, he gave me a CD player for my car. Romantic!
We attempted to golf. Let's just say, the kids around us did much better then us and we haven't been golfing since.
We did manage to rock the mini golf course though.
On the night Aaron and I fell in love, we shared a strawberry shake. Therefore, we could not pass up the chance of sharing one on our Honeymoon. We also went to Noah's Ark ( World's Largest Water Park), on a Duck boat, and spent sometime in our room as well. Speaking of which, most of our family and friends already know the story, so here goes...
WARNING...maybe TMI, but hilarious!
I believe it was our first night in the Dells. For my bachelorette party, a couple of our friends gave us a basket full of "goodies." The "goodies" included glow in the dark condoms. Of course we packed the "goodies" for the trip. So, Aaron takes one of the glow in the dark condoms and puts it on in the bathroom. He comes out, stands over the bed and says, "Luke, I am your father." *insert light sabor noise and motions* I thought I was going to die! I knew at that moment my life would never be boring.

WARNING...TMI...not so funny story...
We arrived home a day early. Why? We missed our family and friends. It's a good thing. I later found out it was God's plan for us to come home early. The morning after we got back, I woke up in excrutiating pain and urinating blood. I had what most call "Honeymoon UTI" and it was bad. Aaron brought me to the Dr. My nurse, his mom! She explained to us why I had the UTI. *insert red face* I was given a RX and sent home to rest. 8 hours later, and no call that the script was ready, Aaron called and ripped the Dr. apart. I finally got my meds and was much better. The UTI's continued for a round of 3 in one month! It was horrible and made for a sad first month of marriage. We also figured out during this time, the pill was not a form of birth control I could use. I was a B****! So, condoms were our way of life for the next two months, which is when we decided it would be just fine if we had a baby.
**End of not so hilarious story**
Baby? To be continued....

Becca, I'm glad you are enjoying our story. It's been fun reliving it. It'll be nice to have when I'm too old to remember.
