Frustration?

I have no right to complain.  I look at pictures of the kids in Kenya seen here.  And I think, why should I complain for one second!  However, I do live in America, comfy, suburbia America.  Therefore, this is my complaints, er thoughts.

*Aaron started a new job and it's taking some getting used to.  He works till 9 at night some nights and it sucks putting the kids to bed alone.  I know people do it all the time, but it's new for me this past week.  I'm thankful he has a job, but there are parts of it I don't care for.  Like, getting home at 9:30 at night.

*We currently have one working vehicle, so that puts us in a bind every time both of us work.  In fact, I called in for tomorrow so I don't have to drive a total of 100 miles+.  Again, I know people do it, I'm just not used to it.

*Dilema?  Do we buy another car for around a grand or do we get a decent car and take the monthly payment?  This is a dilema weighing heavily on me.  We've been down to 1 vehicle for 9+ months and it is really not working the best.  I'm not being selfish.  We work opposite shifts that overlap, so we are constantly figuring out rides and it's not fun.

*We recently got cable (after no TV for 9 months), internet, and new phones.  They have taken over our lives.  Juat like before.  You'd think after not having it all for months, we'd have some self-control?  Nope, not us.  It all sucks us all in all the time.

I haven't complained in a very long time and if you read these, I'm sorry.  I had to type it out to process it.  Get it off my chest.  I did.  Now I can go sit on my comfy couch, in my comfy home, with my working husband, and enjoy our time together.  Frustration?  Yes.  Blessed?  Yes.  Thankful?  Absolutely.

Lease a new car. It is so much less expensive, monthly. Yes, you will have a limitation on miles, but drive that only in your area. It'll be a brand new car, so you are almost guaranteed no problems and if you do have problems than they fix it. Just a thought!

I say buy a Purple Betty....it worked for us for way longer than we ever thought. It still runs after 4 years. It may not look the best but it's a runs. The insurance is cheap and the gas too. Then when we got my "bus" we kept Purple Betty in case the truck or the "bus" broke down. It's not worth selling so we just keep it. Wanna see a picutre of Purple Betty? It's here.....http://www.mypricelessfishers.com/2009/06/6-13-09-photo-of-day-purple-betty.html

Spend less if you can. No monthly payment.

You'll be fine. Do something for yourself after the kids go to bed until Aaron gets home. Read or something you don't always get the time to do. Do your scrapbooks or fun stuff that usually takes away from "family" time.

Hang in there....weather is getting nicer! Plus I am guessing if he's works until 9 then he doesn't leave until later in the morning....that's a nice time together...especially when it gets nicer...you can sit outside together and enjoy a cup of coffee!!! Nice!

Your so right, everything just takes time to get used to...change stinks sometimes! I say try to stay as low as possible on the car payments or none at all if you can. Find something cheap for just work and back for A?? Everything will work out...so glad Aaron has a good job again! {hugs}

We have the same car! Ours is Fenway! It's green. Fenway has a messed up transmission and only driven to grab Jonathan home from the bus stop (1 1/2 miles). We paid all of $375 for it, so it's served it's purpose. Time to move on though....
