I'm Not Lazy
I wrote this as a post in a Facebook group I belong to. My mother-in-law always said, "I don't understand why you aren't 100 lbs, you never sit still." I don't have an answer, but I'm not lazy.
******************************************
Our weight is not a product of laziness.
We have gained to protect; from ourselves, from our abusers, from the life we deserve.
We are emotional beings who love food and it becomes our crutch; especially if you grew up in a legalistic church where drinking and dancing are bad, but gluttony is completely acceptable.
Our weight is not a product of laziness.
We have gained due to the births of our children.
We have gained because we put others first.
Our weight is not a product of laziness.
We have hurts so deep.
We have love so deep.
We have hate so deep.
Let's dig deep.
Let's find what got us here.
Let Him change us for His glory!
Our weight is not a product of laziness.
