Letting Go
How do you pick up a blog after putting it down for so long?
As I scroll through old posts and reminisced over old pictures of my oldest kids, I realized how much life changed. From blizzards to beaches, from cold to warm, from two to seven and all the in between. A lot of life has been lived since I first blogged. How do you pick it up again? Where do you start?
I've thought a lot recently about who I used to be, in my early 20's. A girl who would spend every moment she could at church and when she wasn't at church, working or with friends, she was prayer walking her room. Hours spent with her maker. She trusted Him so deeply, if you cut her off in traffic, she resolved to you needing to get somewhere before her and blessed your day. That girl, derailed. Life has a way of doing that. Getting in the way, causing pain, adding responsibilities, crushing under trauma, moving.
She is now left trying to find her way back. She has trusted Him every step, but also held onto so much. It's time. To let go. To let God. It's time.
What are you letting go of?
