Three Weeks
We are three weeks into the new lifestyle.
We have learned to meal plan, shop with a purpose, eat for health and say, "no thank you."
We have learned to skip FREE bagels, pizza, sandwiches, donuts and Starbucks.
We have learned how to navigate hanging out with friends. It's crazy how much revolves around food, drinks and unhealthy habits!
The funny thing is, I don't feel deprived. I feel empowered to say, "No, thank you."
My husband is down 16+ pounds and I'm down 10+ pounds. My skin is healthier. My hair is shiny.
I did try a gluten free pizza at a Birthday party this weekend. I knew it would have dairy and sugar, but tried anyway. Mistake. Within minutes, I had a head ache and my stomach started cramping. I think I will wait a while to do that again.
Tomorrow, we reintroduce fruit, organic pure maple syrup and raw honey. We may be a tad excited.
