Sugar-Free

Well, today marks the day we go sugar free!

We received news from our healthcare provider which was a bit scary. Between the man of the house and I, we have high blood pressure, high triglycerides, high cholesterol and liver issues. Of all the research I've done, healing our livers will heal everything else. The number one way to do this...eliminate sugar!

Eliminating the white stuff, candy, cookies, white bread and such will be the easy part as we don't use much of it now.

The items I find more challenging are beer (we discovered craft beer since moving to Florida and it's the best!), soda (for the head of house), honey (raw is so good) and the sugars hidden in our food (though we don't use a ton of processed food).  Also, eating more vegetables and getting the kids on board, as they have become extremely picky in the past few months, will be huge obstacles. No more eating out will be difficult. Dinner parties, football parties and Birthdays may also be a struggle.

However, we are doing it!
