Getting in a Groove

My new job is going well.  I've been on my own (no more training) since last Wednesday and really enjoy it.  I enjoy my co-workers.  The nurse I work with is fun, funny, and she has been a huge inspiration for me to lose weight!  Everyone has been welcoming.  My manager is amazing.  I'm lovin' it!  I have evenings and weekends with my family and friends.  I'm in bed by 10pm.

I do miss my afternoons alone.  Playdates with Allie and friends.  And my girlfriends.  It's a tough balance.

Not sure if I've even mentioned it here?  Aaron is the lead in the spring play at his school.  I'm so proud of him!  That said, it puts a damper on our time together.  Every time he's in a play, the last month, I never see him.  Being a quality time girl, it's tough.

The flip side, I'm home with the kids.  Allie only has to go to grandma's for daycare 2 mornings a week.  In the evening, they come straight home.  Fridays, they are able to spend with their auntie Ky and other grandma.  They love it.  I love being with them!

I miss my friends.

Balancing kids, work, church, family, keeping up the house...it's tough.  I have a new respect for daytime working moms.  Of course, I am one now.  Would I trade it, no.  I just need to get in a groove.

Needless to say, FB, blogging, Twitter...all on the back burner.

I'm getting in a groove.
