Old and New
I'm letting go of the old and embracing the new.
Sunday, my co-workers from the NICU took me out for dinner at Chianti Grill. We had a great time. We ate, talked, laughed, reminesced, cried, laughed some more. They shocked me with an amazing gift and I'm still in shock of the love they all showed. I always knew I was liked by most, but I had no idea just how much. It's nice to be loved. One of my co-workers told me, "you aren't just a great worker, you are a great person!" Those words permiated me to the core. It has to be one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I will miss them all dearly!
I started my new job on Monday. My first day was not at my "home" clinic. The ladies were great, but it was awkward being at a place I knew I wouldn't see again for quite sometime. Today, I was at my "home" clinic. I felt at home. Everyone was extremely welcoming. I heard more than once today, "we are soooo excited to have you here!" One of the nurses on my team helped me clean up my desk area today. Did I mention I have my own desk??? I can astually hang pics of my family! Now I need to schedule a photoshoot with one of my photography friends.
Speaking of family, my kids love having me home in the evening. Tonight I treated them to Culver's and cuddles.
I was a bit nervous about the drive. It is a bit further, but I actually enjoy it!
Yesterday, I was able to stop and see my sister's family on my way home. What a treat that was! My niece and nephews pined for my attention and I had no problem giving it! Alyvia was showing off her moves and Brayden loved every minute of "flopping like a dying tuna" for me. They were hilarious!
Today, I came home to a new laptop from my hubby! Love tax season. Don't you? It was our one splurge this year. I get tired of sharing with Aaron, he's a pc hog!
Well, that about wraps it up. I'm adjusting to my new normal. 5:15am was a long time ago!
Nighty Night.
