Thankfullness

Last month, as you very well know, was Thanksgiving.  A study proved, people are happier if they continually give thanks.  I can attest to that.  In the spirit of giving thanks, our church gave us a booklet and each day we wrote seven things we were thankful for.  We chose to do ours as a family and it was such a joy to listen to our children share all that they are grateful for!

December came and Thanksgiving for me was soon forgotten.  Last week, it was awful.  I was so cranky and I remembered what Pastor had said about being thankful and it lifting your spirits.  Oh man is it ever true.  As I sit here tonight, I am reminded of how grateful I am.  For tonight, it means I am thankful  for candles and Christmas tree lights.  Absolutely the most relaxing gift this time of year.  Obviously, I am grateful for so much more than this, but at this very moment, ahhhh...thankful.

So, what did we thank God for all last month?  Keep in mind, we made a rule...no repeats and we let the kids lead as they were both so eager to participate.

Aaron...he worked nearly every evening last month and we did our booklet at the dinner table, so his list is a bit shorter than the rest of ours.
