Five Question Friday
FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY....Yah! I adore Mama M and her craziness! One of my favorite crazy things she does is 5QF! I try to join in regualarly, but time is of the essence.
1. What's the best Christmas present you've ever received?
My Cabbage Patch! Santa gave it to me in 1983 when they were the hottest thing ever! Yep, my Santa was the best!!!!!
2. Worst/Funniest White Elephant gift ever received?
We do an elephant gift exchange with friends almost every year. It is a great time! One year, I got a Teddy Bear cookie jar and the best part, it had peanut brittle from the previous Christmas still inside! What a gift!
3. Is your Christmas tree plain and simple (white lights and matching ornaments) or is it wild and crazy (colored lights with lots of ornaments collected over the years)?
I change it up. Last year it was Santa and snowmen only. This year, white, red, and green lights with a miss match of ornaments. I actually love our tree this year. I think the mismatch smorgous board is so fun!
4. "How" do you iron your clothes? The old fashioned iron/ironing board way, the shower, back in the dryer, etc.
Iron and ironing board. I don't iron much, but if it's wrinkled and I'm not just running to the store, it must be ironed!
5. How much baking do you do for Christmas and what are your "must make" items? (I'm looking for recipes here, peeps...)
I usually do a day of baking with friends. This year, I have made cake balls, similar to cake pops, but without the pop. I have pretzel/candy things I want to make, almond sugar cookies, marshmellows rolled in peppermint candy canes, and peanut butter cookies with a mini Snicker surprise! I'm thinking there is no way it will all get done, but it is the thought that counts!
Merry Christmas!!!!! Our Savior is born!
