Thirty Thursday (though it's really Friday)
It's been sometime since I blogged, sorry. It's summer here in the great state of MN and well, we soak up every ray we get! For me, that means blogging takes a back burner and the grill is on. So, here's a mini list of what I've been up to...
1. We went to Bunker Beach this week! Another thing off our Summer Fun List!!!!
2. Tonight I start a week off from work and at some point, we are off to the woods with a tent! Another thing off our Summer Fun List!!!
3. The State Fair and Valleyfair will also be checked off this week.
4. I've been working a TON!!!! As in 6-8 shifts per month more than I'm scheduled for. Yep, I deserve my week off.
5. The kids have been enjoying their time with daddy. Allie is a major daddy's girl and I love it!
6. The kids have also enjoyed many nights spent with their auntie, uncle, and cousins (who will be joining us camping along with my parents).
7. Allie met with her Kindergarten (tear) teacher today. She insisted on wearing her "rock and roll dress auntie Bri gave her." Her teacher informed us Allie is more than ready for Kindergarten and was probably ready a year ago!
8. We managed to squeeze in an evening at the beach recently.
9. Seriously, my days off are few and far between. I miss my girlfriends.
10. I just finished the last "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book..."Sisterhood Everlasting." I LOVED it and highly recommend the series.
11. I'm now reading two other books by Ann Brashares, the author of the "Sisterhood" series. I love her writing style!
12. Allie starts soccer soon.
13. Jonathan is going to try wrestling this winter.
14. We all have been more active as I am training for a 5K. Although, I haven't ran in two weeks. YIKES! Time flies when you are working so much.
15. Jonathan has been stepping up to the plate and cleaning without being asked. So proud!
16. Aaron starts school Monday.
17. Aaron also starts a new job in two weeks! He will be Director of Children's Ministries for the Recovery group at our old church. He is thrilled!!! He will also be tutoring for English at the college.
18. I am thinking of going back to school to be a Radiology or Ultrasound Tech.
19. I need something to keep me busy when my kids are in school.
20. We may have other changes coming as God opens new doors.
21. We are so blessed to feel as though we are in God's will of our lives right now. It's a great place to be.
22. I've been reading my Bible more. Love my Bible phone app!
23. Allie's been taking melatonin at night and it's changed our lives! Thank the Lord!
24. I played "Stratego" with Jonathan last week and it totally made me think of my childhood and playing with Carter.
25, Which made me think of See n Say, Mastermind, Strawberry Shortcake, Cabbage Patch Kids, and Pac Man.
26. My older sister got married last week, she didn't tell anyone till 5 days later. We don't talk, so my mom told me. I only typed this, so I could remember someday.
27. I adore my younger sister and can't wait to spend a few days with her this coming week!
28. Aaron is already in bed and it's wayyyy past my bedtime.
29. Summer is going too fast!!!!
30. I'm off to enjoy some R & R, my hubby, and my kids. See you in a few days when they are all in school and I'm back at work.
