Easter Morning

We used to do Easter baskets and hide them.  However, I feel like it took away from the meaning of Easter.

Now we do one big basket with our favorite candy (Reese's Eggs, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, and two large Hershey items for the kids), summer art supplies, and a plastic egg with a biblical clue.

The kids jumped around like bunnies with excitement and extra energy from their sugar highs.
The first clue is read..."Jesus loves you this I know for the BIBLE tells you so."

Over by the bookshelf, where the Bibles are kept, another clue is found.
"Jesus died on the cross and you now have eternal LIFE!"
Off to the box of Life cereal, er, where the Life cereal would be kept if we had some.
"On the third day, Jesus ROSE from the dead!"
Off to the rose candle holders.
"Jesus says we should take time to rest."
The cedar chest!  Where all the blankets are kept.
"Jesus provided so we could purchase these for our trip."
Luggage!
"Daddy and Mama are excited for May 24th, do you know why?"
"We're going to DISNEY!!!!!"
To which Jonathan gave a dead stare in shock and Allie pretended to pass out!
Jonathan was given this hat to borrow from a friend and clearly the excitement set in!

Allie tried on the Minnie dress and shoes she was borrowed from her friend.

The excitement that is brewing around our house is contagious!  We cannot wait to see our favorite Disney characters, go on rides, see the ocean, and hang out with family I haven't seen in 15 years and my family has never met!

Jesus has blessed us beyond belief and given us so much to be thankful for this Easter!
