Mama M has a blog hop as you know if you have followed me for any length of time. I participate once in a blue moon. I should participate more often, but I rarely have time to blog anymore. Not to mention, I blog for me. I like a place where I can "journal" and reflect on my life (both failures and successes). If you happen to read, I pray you get something out of what you read. Mostly, I pray you see a real mom/wife/women with love for a deeper relationship with God, her husband, and her children. I digress...onto the blog hop...
1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
Absolutely! In my line of work, I only wear my "street clothes" for a few hours and then it's scrubs! So, yep, I will wear the same jeans and shirt for up to three days. Not my underwear though, that's just wrong!
2. If you had to choose any LARGE city to live in, which would it be?
I've lived in New York City and that's about as big as you get. I like the quietness of the burbs myself, but not the country...that's too quiet.
I'd love to go to LA one of these days. However, I would not like to live there. The burbs of Minneapolis fit my fancy just fine.
3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?
Both!
Flying is all about the destination. So, if you just want to get there, flying is the way to go. It's the quieter, more relaxing way to go too!
Driving is all about the adventure. In the air you miss the "mom and pop" restaurants, the lakeside views with the monuments to read, the alphabet game, the family name game, ice cream melted into carseats, french fries on the floor, dad's hair in barrettes, the line in the middle of the back seat, the gas stations where dad unloaded gasoline back in the day, the dirt roads, the back roads, getting semis to honk, counting trains as they pass on the tracks, the roadkill, late night check ins at motels because the hotels are all booked, and lets not forget the ever blasted question of "are we there yet?"
4. What is your idea of "spring cleaning"?
Washed windows, laundered window coverings, floors scrubbed on hands and knees, refridgerater pulled out and vacuumed, closets gone through and organized, toys thrown out or donated, gargage cleaned out, vehicles cleaned out and detailed, oven cleaned, dishwasher cleaned, washing machine and dryer cleaned with bleach, walls wiped down, cupboards cleaned inside and out. All done with the windows wide open to air it all out! I think that covers it.
5. What is the best book you have ever read?
"Redeaming Love" by Francis Rivers....hands down!
The love, compassion, nonjudgement, patience, and love (yeah I know, it's worth repeating) shown through this book is unbelievable!!!! It will change your life! It did mine.
