Love Dare Day 22

Day 22 – LOVE IS FAITHFUL

I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness.  Then you will know the Lord. – Hosea 2:20

TODAY’S DARE – DAY 22

LOVE IS A CHOICE, NOT A FEELING. IT IS AN INITIATED ACTION, NOT A KNEE-JERK REACTION. CHOOSE TODAY TO BE COMMITTED TO LOVE EVEN IF YOUR SPOUSE HAS LOST MOST OF THEIR INTEREST IN RECEIVING IT. SAY TO THEM TODAY IN WORDS SIMILAR TO THESE, “I LOVE YOU. PERIOD. I CHOOSE TO LOVE YOU EVEN IF YOU DON’T LOVE ME IN RETURN.”

You will notice, I. AM. NOT. STUCK. ANYMORE!!!!!!  This morning, our pastor said, "We owe God NOTHING!  He took it all, even the guilt."  This stuck with me.  I went up for prayer this morning (not a norm for me).  I confessed my long time struggle of putting God first.  It's so easy to put Aaron and the kids first, while God gets the back burner.  Tabby, our pastor's wife, said, "Honey, I understand."  And then she said THIS..."You need to treat God like one of your children!  You would never neglect your children, and we shoudln't neglect God."  Oh my how that spoke to the core of me.  She then prayed I would have a desire to spend time with God, and that it not be a "duty."  

Oh Lord, how I desire to know you, like I know my children.  I long to spend time with you, like I do my children.   I want to know every thought you have, like I do my children.  I want to know your dreams (for me), like I do my children.  I want to know your plan (for me), like I do my children.  

As for today's dare, Aaron and I do love one another unconditionally!  Thank the Lord!  We may not treat each other like we do at all times, but we do and we are working on the times we don't show it.
