Today’s Dare

Begin Praying for your spouse’s heart. Pray for three specific areas where you desire for God to work in your spouse’s life and in your marriage.

Three areas I'd like to see God work in Aaron...

1. Wisdom  - at his request.  After our date a couple weeks ago, he asked I'd pray for wisdom.  He needs to figure out what school to go to for his graduate, job situation, things at home.  Wisdom is just plain needed in so many areas of our lives.

2. Balance - with school, the play, and everyday life...he needs to find balance.  He has tendencies to shut me and the kids out when life is stressful.  If I were honest, I could use some balance as well.  I could easily become a workaholic and neglect life at home.

3. Purity - it keeps coming to my mind as I'm typing this. Aaron has been sober for 22 months with ONE slip up.  AMAZING God!!!!!  My heart dances when I think of Aaron's sobriety.  I sing praises to our King!  That said, I also need to continue praying for his purity.  Let's be honest, sex is everywhere!  Commercials, television, billboards, plummiting tops on women, short skirts...it's all out there and men (and women) are faced with it daily!  

If anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He listens to him (John 9:31).
