Today’s Dare

Demonstrate love by willingly choosing to give in to an area of disagreement between you and your spouse. Tell them you are putting their preference first.

This is a bit difficult due to there being little disagreement between us.  We agree on how to raise our kids, church, most politics, family issues, etc.  Honestly, if we don't agree, most often, we compromise without a fight.  For us, I think our disagreements, arguements if you will, are due to my control issues.  If the dishes need to be done, I want it done now!  If the car needs cleaned, I want it done now!  If the house needs cleaned, you guessed it, NOW!  So for me, I need to let go of control.  I need to relax if things aren't done my way and in my timing. I'm sure there is another Dare which will deal with this, but heck, why not start NOW!

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. (Romans 12:18)
