Love Dare Day 11
Love Cherishes
Husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. – Ephesians 5:28
Today’s Dare
What need does your spouse have that could meet today? Can you run an errand? Give a back rub or foot massage? Is there housework you could help with? Choose a gesture that says, “I cherish you” and do it with a smile.
This evening was tough! I'm not going to lie. I cherish Aaron and enjoy doing things for him. That said, tonight, I had high hopes of a heart shaped (I used to make one giant cookie in a heart shape for him every time I made them) cookie and an ice cold glass of milk for him. Instead, I had no butter, so added peanut butter (only made it dry), then oats, and then some oil...I ended up with a granola esque deliciousness that crumbled when you bit into it. It is now a nummy ice cream topping. Do to said incident, I was no longer happy about my evening. The kids should have been in bed at this point and my favorite show was coming on in a matter of minutes. Aaron was on his laptop and the kids were begging for their bed time snack (cookies that didn't turn out). Needless to say, I blew up a bit, swore for the first time in over a week, and was a bit disrespectful to all those around me. I failed miserably tonight. I later apologized and all is well. Except my perfect evening.
Thank God His mercies are new every morning and my family forgives easily! Moving on.

Answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51)
