Love Dare Day 1

Lately, I have felt a bit withdrawn, distant, off in my own world, and not really present in my marriage.  Is my marriage on the rocks?  Not even close!  Could my marriage use improvement?  Today and each and everyday to come!

As I searched for a way to add to my marriage, the movie, "Fireproof" came to mind once again.

Along with "Fireproof" the movie, came the thought of the "Love Dare."

I then did a search for 'Love Dare Day 1" and came across this blog written by Lisa of K-Love Mornings with Lisa and Eric.  I am so thankful I did!

I started day 1 (do not say anything negative to your spouse) yesterday and continued it today.  Why?  I didn't see Aaron all day, so how can I be patient and positive with someone I haven't seen all day?

How is it going?  Well, yesterday was a challenge.  Crazy, you know, cause I didn't see him all day.  BUT, it was his birthday and everyone was commenting on Facebook including me and it was soooooo hard not to make fun of his age, balding head, and such.  (Did I just make fun of it all by posting it hear?  I really am not, I'm just describing how my first dare went.  Really!)  But, I didn't!  I simply said things like, "happy birthday, love and so sorry you're ill on your birthday."  I didn't raise my voice, use sarcasm, or anything that could be heard as negative.

This morning, was amazing!!!!  Once again, nothing negative, hurtful, or sarcastic.  I even called and apologized for saying something that may have been heard as such.

I have to tell you, I am loving this.  I cannot wait to get home tonight and see him!  I don't know if it's the excitement of the "Dare" or the change in my attitude towards him, but whatever it is....I LOVE IT and MY HUSBAND!!!!

**Aaron doesn't know I am doing this (yes, he will most likely read about it, but for now, it's a secret and it's so fun!).
