First Day of Third Grade Retake
While at my friend's today, she said, "too bad you didn't have a pic by the light switch so we can see the difference." I complied. Er Jonathan did.

So, our first day of school went swimmingly. Our second, not so much.
The school day went great! Jonathan thoroughly enjoyed his time in the computer lab today. Shocker! It was after school things got a bit hairy.
I left my friend's to pick Jonathan up at the bus stop, only he wasn't there. So, I drove home with my eyes peeled on the side of the road watching for him. No Jonathan. I came home, ran in the house and yelled for him. No Jonathan. Drove back to the bus stop with my eyes peeled on the side of the road watching for him. No Jonathan. I can assure you at this point, I'm FREAKING OUT! I drove BACK home, ran in the house and yelled for him. No Jonathan. I called his school. The secretary called the two buses he may be on (he sometimes takes another bus to grandma's when I work). No Jonathan. I call grandpa and grandma's. No Jonathan. I called his friend's mom..."Jonathan's here. He's in the backyard playing."
"I. AM. GOING. TO. KILL. HIM."
Allie, "mama, don't kill my buddy!"
"It's. Just. a. figure. of. speech. dear."
Come to find out, He wasn't sure which bus to take and his teacher had both on her list, so she told him to take the bus to grandma's, assuming I was working. So, he did (kind of). He took the right bus for grandma's, but went to his friends.
He's alive and well. I didn't even freak out on him. I just explained to him how scared I was and that he is NOT to go on any other bus, in any other car, with anyone else, UNLESS I write a note or call the school.
Phew! Glad the second day is over!
