Update on the Royal Family
It's been well over a month since I updated on the "Royal Family." So, here goes...
King Aaron...
He's been working lots, and lovin his job, so maybe he doesn't love it, but he's content. He's making money and enjoys where he works ( a huge PLUS)! I believe it's over 7 months he's been with this company and it's the longest he's been employed consecutively in 3 years! God is so AMAZING! With this job, came a co-worker, who came with a home to rent, and now we rent it! Again, God is AMAZING!
Aaron has been busy working in the yard. He is having fun mowing (not sure how long that will last), riding bike with the kids, building a fire pit (which we hope to use this weekend at some point), and helping me decorate the house (not really, but it sounded good).
Prince Jonathan has been chillin in his room. I think he secretly irritates his sister so he can get sent to his room, like he needs an excuse to chill by himself. He has done the decorating in his room, which hasn't been easy for mommy. He saves everything, and I throw everything, so the clutter on his shelves...well, it's something I'm getting used to. I even let him decide where to put the furniture in there and lets just say, it is not balanced, but again...something I'm getting used to. At least I can shut the door. LOL He has been enjoying the freedom of riding his bike up and down the road, running around the yard freely, and running through ( I mean, spraying his sister with) the sprinkler. It's a joy for me to see the joy he has in having a yard and his room!
Princess Allie's main enjoyment lately...jumping, doing cart wheels, yelling, screaming, jumping off the stairs, jumping off the couch, jumping into clean laundry, jumping over toys...you get the picture! After being told, "no jumping, we have neighbors," for a year, she is loving her new freedom...jumping! She even tells her brother and anyone who walks in the house, "I can jump cause we don't have neighbors anymore!" Oh, her other love, the three dogs which live behind us! She is in heaven. She runs up and down the fence line and they chase her. She giggles and giggles! Oh the joy she brings to those around her.
Queen Jolene, well, I've been packing, moving, and unpacking. I have a couple more boxes to go through, some picture frames to paint, and lots of decorating to do. We had VBS this week at ECC, so I was the chauffeur. I carted kids back and forth for three days and loved every minute of it. They all had a blast! While they were at VBS, I hung out with my sister, Tori, and Sarah. We even got some garage saling in today! It was a taste of life come this fall. Oh and lets not leave out my quiet evenings on the deck! I love, love, love my deck! I think I've sat out there almost every night since we moved. Our neighborhood is peaceful, which makes my deck a nice place to wind down at night.
One last thing I should mention...it's been about 6 - 8 weeks (I'm not exactly sure) since we unplugged the cable cord to our TV and life is WONDERFUL! No TV schedule to follow, no worry about what the kids are watching, or what we may come across flippin channels, more family time, more games played, more time spent outdoors...my only regret...not doing it sooner!
I think that wraps up life in Royalty for today.
