Another week gone by...
Time sure flies when you are about to have some fun! The Princess and I leave Monday for Texas! I cannot wait! I have everything ready, just need the King to get the suitcases out.
Let's see what the week held for us...
Friday, the 23rd...
The kids and I hung out with our friends, Monica, Carter, and Sadie. We did pedicures and manicures and had great coffee! We opted for a night at home. A movie with the kiddos and relaxation.
Saturday, the 24th...
We were invited to Josh's 6th Birthday at the Eagle's Nest. We had a very good time. After, we went to Josh's for cake and ice cream and McDonald's Happy Meals...mmmm...
Due to the fun at the indoor playground, the children were fast asleep and the King and Queen were able to enjoy some time to themselves.
Sunday, the 25th...
The Princess spiked a fever during the night and her and the Queen stayed home from church. The Prince and the King went on without them. After they arrived home, we went to our cousin's Stacy and Eric's. We had a fabulous time and sucked them dry of their wisdom. The King and I can't wait to spend time with them again. The kids had fun getting to know their older cousins as well. They had a fierce game of "Monsters."
Monday, the 26th...
we ran errands in preperation for our big trip!
Tuesday, the 27th...
We watched a fantastic movie, Fireproof! Once you get past the cheesy acting, it has a great message.
Wednesday, the 28th...
The King and Queen went out for a night on the town. Not really, we went shopping alone!!!! The King bought the Queen a beautiful green sweater and a dress shirt. I felt very spoiled. We grabbed a bottle of wine and headed home. Even an hour out without the kids helped us to reconnect after a stressful day. What a blessing to have a great sitter down the road!
Thursday, the 29th...
Time-Out for Mom's morning at church. We had great conversation. We even went out for lunch this week, which doesn't always happen. It was so nice to get together after a long break after Christmas.
After, the Princess and I went to our friends, Lisa, Ellie, and Tucker's. The girls had fun playing dress up and the moms had fun chatting.
I ran and picked up the Prince and then headed back to Lisa's. While there, the Prince informed me, "Mom, you shouldn't talk about Texas in front of people. It is pretty selfish of you." Why thank you, Prince, I will take that into consideration! What 7 year old tells their mom they are being selfish??? Mine.
Later that evening, the kiddos hit the hay and the Queen finished up the laundry. Oh the excitement! I did get to watch ER and Recovery House though. My two favs!
Friday, the 30th...
The Queen prepared the clothing for the trip to Texas. Hung out with the kiddos a bit and then off to work. Only 45 minutes to go and I can head home to the arms of my King!
